BIOGRAPHY: Harlan did his basic training in New Port, Rhode Island. He served on the Ker Sarge Aircraft Carrier. He served during the Korean Conflict and directed naval Gunfire from his ship. As a naval Gun Fire  Liaison Officer he attained the rank of LTJF, received the China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/stars, United nations Medal, National Defense Medal, and the KPUC. When he returned home he as a Vocational Trainer, and Plant Manager at Stokley Van Camp. He was also a member of  the National Guard but got out due to poor health. Harlan is buried at Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont, Minnesota.
