BIOGRAPHY:  Ashley enlisted in the Air Force in 2004 and went to basic training in San Antonio, Texas. She stayed in San Antonio to complete her training for Security Forces. Her first duty station was in Guam, at Anderson AFB, where she spent 15 months. She then PCS'ed to Mildenhall RAF base in Mildenhall, England. While stationed there she was deployed to Camp Bucca, Iraq, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where she worked in detainee operations. While in England she was also sent on TDY to Sophia, Bulgaria, where she served a mission supporting Air Force One for President George W. Bush. After England she PCS'ed again to Wright Patterson AFB, in Dayton, Ohio. She was deployed once again while there to Al Udied Air Base in Qatar. She was awarded the following medals while in the service; Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with one Service Star, Global War On Terrorism Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Short, Overseas Ribbon Long, Air Force Overseas Expeditionary Medal with Gold Border, Air Force Longevity Service, USAF NCO PME Graduate Ribbon, and AF Training Ribbon. She was also awarded Airman of the Year for the 88th Mission Support Group at Wright Patterson AFB in 2009. Although her primary MOS was Security Forces Craftsman , she attended (CJO) Security Forces Electronic Security Systems Operator School, and AF Airman Leadership School. She left the service with the rank of Staff Sergeant in 2012.
