SAHR, PAUL F

BIOGRAPHY: Served with the 76th Infantry Division, Company G 417th. Did his training in Little Rock,  Arkansas. Paul was a 604 light machine gunner.  Achieved the rank of Private First Class. he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal-Germany, and the African Middle Eastern Theatre Service Medal. He fought in the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. Left the service as a Private First Class. He married Jean Crooker on September 7, 1945. He worked for the Fairmont Sentinel and he and his wife owned Crookers Jewelry Store in Fairmont.
