SIMACEK, RUDOLPH A.

YEARS OF SERVICE: 1918-1919

BIO: Rudolph entered the army at Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was a private and served in WWI. He received the Victory Medal and the Purple Heart fighting in France. He is buried in Jackson Cemetery. He farmed in the Sherburn area after the war and he and his wife raised 2 sons and 2 daughters as well as two nephews. He lost most of his hearing after a bomb landed near him during action in France.
